Ready to Make a Change
We’ve survived the first few months of a pandemic. We’ve survived an almost nationwide quarantine. And we’ve all come out different people.
What did we learn? For me, I realized how important my health is. When a pandemic hits, my health is all I have.
And I’m not just talking about getting COVID-19. I’m talking about hoping I don’t need to go to the doctor’s office or hospital for anything else either.
During quarantine a lot of doctors weren’t seeing people for their yearly physicals. I need to be in good health to be able to hold off a few months on getting a physical.
So you’ve taken the first step; you’ve decided to do something. You know you want to improve your health, fitness, and nutrition, but now what?
Looking for a nutrition and/or fitness plan can feel so incredibly overwhelming. There is just so much out there.
I don’t know about you, but my social media feeds are filled with quick fixes and at-home workout plans. But working out at home is HARD. If it wasn’t, we would’ve all come out of quarantine looking exactly like we wanted to.
I don’t just want a workout plan. I want someone to help motivate me, encourage me, and keep me moving safely.
I don’t just want a nutrition plan. I want a coach to help hold me accountable. I want someone I can talk to when I’m feeling discouraged, and I want someone who I can celebrate with when I have success.
I Need A Coach
When you walk into CrossFit West of the River, we start with a conversation. We learn about you. What are your goals? What is your past fitness experience? What is working for you with your nutrition, and what do you need help with?
There is no one size fits all approach. It does not exist.
Every person who walks through our doors for the first time has a coach to help guide them to the right path. And every time you walk into the gym thereafter there will be a coach to guide you through your workout or nutrition coaching.
Is personal training the best option to reach your goals? A coach will help you decide.
Are group classes the right fit? A coach will help you determine that.
Do you need nutrition coaching? A coach will help you figure that out.
No More Guessing
When I used to walk into the gym with its rows of treadmills and ellipticals and groups of machines I had no idea how to use, I felt overwhelmed. When I learned what to do, I did the same boring thing every day. That didn’t motivate me.
Now when I walk into the gym I am greeted by my coach in my personal training session or by my friends ready to workout with me in a group class.
I don’t have to decide what the workout is. My coach will tell me.
I don’t have to do the same thing day after day. The workouts at CrossFit West of the River are always new and different, unless we’re testing ourselves to see how much we’ve improved.
I don’t have to try to figure out how to adjust the workout to my own skills or prior injuries. A coach is there to help me modify.
